I received my M.S. in Pastoral Counseling in 1989 from Neumann College. I chose Pastoral Counseling because of the importance given to spirituality as part of emotional and psychological health. After getting my degree, I completed 18 hours of post-graduate coursework, qualifying for National Certification as well as Professional Licensure in Pennslvania, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

In 1990, I began working as a therapist with a non-profit agency and opened my private practice in 1998. As well as private practice, I've done clinical work in agencies and residential facilities with the elderly, adult children of aging parents, and adults with severe and persistent mental illness.

I enjoy facilitating workshops and training for a variety of organizations, using my BFA in Theatre to bring a creative edge to growth and learning environments. From time to time, I offer short term groups organized around specific areas of interest. If you are interested in more information about workshops, please contact me.

As part of my professional development and personal growth, I take a minimum of 25 hours of continuing education every year. In 2007, I will be completing a certificate course in Gerontology offered by Boston University's School of Social Work. I follow the Standards for Ethics held by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
